PhD Program RNA Biology

A coordinated, interdisciplinary and interinstitutional PhD Program in the field of RNA biology

The PhD Program in RNA Biology is a coordinated, interdisciplinary and interinstitutional PhD Program in the field of RNA biology. The program offers a collaborative platform to PhD students in an international competitive research area including organic chemistry, biophysics, biochemistry, structural, molecular and cellular biology, bioinformatics and physiology. Participating groups are located at ETH Zürich and the Universities of Bern and Zürich.

The program will offer to its participants annual retreats, bi-annual summer schools, research seminars and lectures. Participants can also apply during their PhD once for a travel grant to attend a scientific conference. Click here to download the application document and guidelines.

At the start of the PhD, participants must hold a Master‘s degree or equivalent from an University. Students will be enrolled and receive their PhD degree from their respective PI's host institution.

The PhD Program in RNA Biology is primarily supported by the NCCR RNA & Disease under the umbrella of the Graduate School for Cellular and Biomedical Sciences Bern and the Life Science Zurich Graduate School.
